CT U.S. Regional Conference Legislation
As part of its work, The Connectional Table seeks to help The United Methodist Church live into being more fully a worldwide church. To help in this effort, the CT has proposed legislation to create the U.S. as a Regional Conference, a proposal that will give the U.S. a place to make adaptable decisions without burdening the General Conference with U.S.-centric issues.
To encourage open and honest conversation about this proposal, and to ensure transparency, we published the legislation itself and a variety of educational materials on our website. These materials were published in English.
Because we recognize the worldwide nature of our church, we have now completed the translation of these materials in several more languages. In addition to the legislative petition, a page of frequently asked questions and a narrative booklet have also been translated into East African Kiswahili, Congolese Kiswahili, Tagalog, French, German, and Portuguese. Click the links below to access the U.S. Regional Conference legislation in other languages as well as in English.
